Hi, I've been looking at JQGrid on and off for many months. The one thing that I have not seen and was hoping that someone can direct me to is how I can grab dynamic data without having to make a GET/POST call via the URL option. I have events in place that currently retrieve data, I want to know if it's possible that I can call some other option other than URL to retrieve my data.

You can use datatype as function (actuallyy this your own function) See demos.

so the datatype option i can use it to call a function? I wasn't sure what you meant by your reply, let me know if this is correct please.
jQuery("#list4").jqGrid({
datatype: myFunction(),
....
});
is this what you meant by it?
