Custom Search Error

Hi,
When I try to add a custom search form with this
jQuery("#mysearch").jqGrid('filterGrid','#grid_id',options);I get the "filterGrid is not a function" error. I have am using v 4.3.3 and have included all addon's . Any ideas?
