Custom Formatter to change row color

Hi,

I wanna mark the whole row background green if the user clicks on a row. I thought the best idea is to use custom formatter for that. But I couldn't find a way to get access to the surrounding gridcell <td> or <tr> inside the formater function using jquery. Is there a way to manipulte the DOM inside the custom formatter function?

Who has an idea how to solve that

Are you using a jquery ui theme?

If so the selected row should automaticaly recieve a highlight allready.

With highligting I meant that once I click on a row the background color should change and stay so. Its to mark all rows which are clicked once to show the user that the entry is already read.

Hello,

I never tested this, but maybe you will need to redefine ui-state-highlight class in the grid css file something like

.ui-jqgrid .ui-state-highlight {do some color stuff here }
