jQuery Grid Plugin - jqGrid

Hi,

I'm using the following functions with a custom field (in edit options):

    function size_input(value, options) {
        return $("<label>"+options['label_size_value']+"</label><br><input style='text-align: center;' type='text' size='2' value='"+value+"'>");
    }
    function size_value(value) {
        return $(value).val();
    }

The display is perfect but I get nothing in return of function size_value (which is my custom_value function).
