What you mean my own?
You can control the position, height and width.
If you want to make another style check the css for that purpose.

I mean,
I've created a "Layer" I want to make appears like the add or edit form of jqgrid.
html :
<div id="myDiv">
javascript
$(document).ready(function(){
$('#myDiv').jqm();
})
I've also made a function to show my layer
function myfunction(){
$('#myDiv').jqmShow();
}
and a button in the jqgrid toolbar to launch my function.
When I click the button, the overlay appears, but my layer seems to appear under.
So I wonder myself if there is a jqgrid method that permit to create layers such as the ones the formedit button create.

Give the appropriate z-index. The z-index modals in
jqGrid begin from 950 (to be compatible with datepicker)
