Hi, I am using JQgrid in one of my projects. Today I ran into one problem. I can't find any topic or some documentation reference about possibility to change column order.

Is there a way to do this? I see there is no property like "order" in colmodel so I suppose it is not possible. Also, is it possible to generate and add columns dynamically from javascript?

10x for reply in advance

I can't believe there's no one who didn't need to change order of columns, column swapping, etc. It is really urgent for me to know is this possible with jqgid or not.

Thanks again for replies (hopefully).

Hello,

If you have read some forum topics you will maybe find the answer.

Also currently this is not possible, but is in the todo list - not in the upcomming release.

Best Regards

Tony

Hi Toni,

Even I need some similar kind of solution to provide the end user with flexbility of ordering the columns within the gird.

We will be glad to hear from you that in which release you are planning to add it as a feature. Again Thanks a lot for the wonderful utility.

Regards,

Sid

Hi Tony,

Thank you for your reply. I hope that this feature will eventually be developed. I really like your grid and hopefully will use it in future projects as well.

Best regards
