We are using jqgrid version 3.4.3 and seeing the following behavior:

When a grid is intially displayed with its sort column in descending order, if the grid is resorted (asc) ascending by code the data is resorted in that column correctly, but, the sort image is unchanged and is pointing down for desc instead of up for ascending. If the column is resorted manually by clicking on the column header, the image does cycle correctly. Is there a property that needs a tickle when changing the sort order via code?

Thanks

Hi Tony,

THank you for responding. I've looked in the online documentation and maybe I'm misssing something, but, Can't seem to find the docs for the sortGrid function. Could you point me to an example of how to change the up/down arrow with it?

THank You

Hello,

jQuery("#mygrid").sortGrid("grid_name",false);

but currently there is a bug in this method. Wait a day or two until publishing 3.4.4.

Also you can check the demo:
