I want the update to use PUT http verb

I want the delete to use DELETE http verb

How do I configure the grid to use those verbs instead of POST.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Ususally you should consult the documentation first:

http://www.trirand.com/jqgridw.....rm_editing

For professional UI suites for Java Script and PHP visit us at our commercial products site - guriddo.net - by the very same guys that created jqGrid.

The documentation says the following....

mtype Defines the type of request to make (“POST” or “GET”) when data is sent to the server Default = POST

The way this is written it implies that the other methods are not supported. I tried them anyway and they are.

Hello

The jQuery documentation for jQuery.ajax() says the following:

Note: Other HTTP request methods, such as PUT and DELETE, can also be used here, but they are not supported by all browsers.

For professional UI suites for Java Script and PHP visit us at our commercial products site - guriddo.net - by the very same guys that created jqGrid.

Thanks I got this working.  The delete now uses the DELETE method though the data is still form encoded in the body of the message. Do you think it's possible to get that on the URL instead. I believe that has more to do with the form creating then the ajax call.

Thanks again for your help.
