Hi,

How to change the alert text "Please, select row"? I tried setting the below in my code but did not make any difference.

jQuery.jgrid.nav = {

alerttext: "Please select a row"

};

Hi Praveen, do want to change it permanently/globally, as in grid.locale-<lang>.js? Or temporarily, as in this thread: http://www.trirand.com/blog/?p.....8;search=1 using:

$.extend($.jgrid.nav,{alerttext:"Here my text for select row"});

Thanks for your response, Adam. The link was very useful esp. in Tony's comment on placing the "alerttext" before the navigator is defined. So this works, i.e. setting the message on application specific. I believe it needs to go into documentation and I am ready to help on this.

Also, I would love to know how to do it globally/permanently. Would you be able to please let me know? I tried changing the *locale* .min and .js file - but did n't seem to work.
