OfflineHello
I am confused as to why my celledit is not working. ordinary edit works ok, but with celledit, when i amend an entry, it changes the entry in the grid, but when i reload the page, it reloads the old data. i am using the same edit.php page that does the ordinary edit. i have included the code below, but still no difference. if someone could help i would be grateful. many thanks.
cellsubmit: 'remote',
cellEdit: true,
cellurl: 'edit.php',
Wish i knew more about jqGrid

OfflineHello,
How look your edit.php - here you should apply your own php code to update the cell. The demo does not do this for security reasons.

Offlinethanks for reply Tony.
However, i am confused by your reply? if you look at my original post, you will see that i am using my own edit.php file which is working fine when i use it to edit entries based on checkbox selection, it edits fine. i am using that same file which has all the required db entries etc. do i need to use a different code in celledit than in edit? why does my edit.php not work in celledit but works with normal edit?
many thanks

OfflineHello,
why does my edit.php not work in celledit but works with normal edit?
I can't tell you why - all what you need to do is to check what is passed and what is accepted server side.

Offlineploppy,
1. What you understand as "normal edit"?
2. Could you please look here:
http://www.trirand.com/jqgridw.....the_server
3. It is not a job of jqGrid to analyze your server side code - we just post data and if this data is accepted server side it will work if not it will not work.
Best Regards
Tony
