Caption for Edit icon on Pager

Hello Tony and all,

Is there a way of adding a text caption next to the Edit icons on the navGrid?

I'm not adding a new navButton but I'm just trying to add text to the existing icon buttons.

Maybe similar to this...

.navGrid('#loiPager', {edit:true, add:false, del:false, search:false},{editCaption: 'Edit',height:400, width:400, reloadAfterSubmit:true })

Hello,

Additionally in the navigator options you can set these (just look in the language file - the item nav.

        edittext: "",
        edittitle: "Edit selected row",
        addtext:"",
        addtitle: "Add new row",
        deltext: "",
        deltitle: "Delete selected row",
        searchtext: "",
        searchtitle: "Find records",
        refreshtext: "",
        refreshtitle: "Reload Grid",
        alertcap: "Warning",
        alerttext: "Please, select row",
        viewtext: "",
        viewtitle: "View selected row"

Hope this helps.

Note that this in the navigator options, where edit:true,add:true ... are set

The addition of "edittext" to my grid solved the issue.

We find many of the parameters on /jqgridwiki/doku.php?id=wiki:navigator&s[]=navgrid do not work.

Some examples:

1. addtitle and edittitle - never change mouseover on pager icons (they are always the language defaults. We don't/can't change the language defaults, it MUST be per-grid overrides).

2. edittext, addtext - never changes text-with-icon (there is never any text with icons. We don't need this, but noted it doesn't work)

We are using 3.6

above post: resolved.

doc doesn't say the parameter needs to be in navgrid first argument.

one would think addtitle would go in addparms, no? :-))
