Hi,

I'm wondering if it's possible to add or remove columns programmatically to an initialized jqGrid instance, either through the API or by changing the colModel definition and reloading the grid?  I didn't see an API, so I'm assuming this isn't supported.  I'm trying to avoid destroying and recreating the grid.

Assuming this is not possible, would it be difficult to create a plugin to add this functionality?  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

thanks!

Hello,

Thanks for this. Also the feature is discussed many times here and it seems that this one that should be added in 3.7 release.

Best Regards

Tony

Thanks for the response.  Two questions:

Is there an approximate release date for 3.7?

Do you accept code contributions?

Hello,

1. Yes there is a plan to have 3.7 at end of February 2010.

2. You can use the Suport menu for this purpose.

Best Regards

Tony

I wanted to know if you could add or remove columns to a initialized grid now.

Thanks!
