Hello!

I am trying to get the userdata feature to work, but nothing so far. I have seen where others have asked similar and been directed to:

http://www.secondpersonplural&.....16ksnu.htm

To be honest I tried what I could but I did not get any wiser!

This is what I have:

This is generated from the server url page:

- <rows>
  <page>0</page>
  <total>1</total>
  <records>31</records>
  <userdata name="intRunningtotal">120</userdata>
  etc

And on my html page with the jqgrid, I am trying to get the value from the intRunningtotal variable with this:

gridComplete : function() {
//alert('grid completed');
var vRunningTotal = jQuery("#list").getGridParam("userdata"); //I have also tried "userData" and "intRunningtotal"
//var vRunningTotal2 = jQuery("#list").getReturnedData();
alert (vRunningTotal);
//alert (vRunningTotal2);
},

I am not sure if I need to set up the XMLReader in order to get this to work, so I tried this:

xmlReader: {
     root: "rows",
     page: "page",
     total: "total",
     records: "records",
     //repeatitems: false,
     //cell: "cell",
     //id: "id",

  userdata: "userdata"
},

Still not working, please advise what is missing or wrong?

Thanks

Nisse

Hello,

userdata is the xml tag where the data is, userData is array of this data,

so in your case this should work:

var vRunningTotal = jQuery(”#list”).getGridParam("userData");

alert(vRunningTotal.intRunningtotal)

will alert 120

Best Regards

Tony
