It seems when I specificy a width of less than 100 for any column, the text in the column heading is not properly aligned. Some of my columns need to be smaller.

Thansk for this cool plug-in!!

Hello,

What you mean with not properly aligned? Is this in all browsers or in certain one?

Hi Tony.

It seems to only hapen in IE. Whenever I set a column's width less than 100, the text of the column heading appears lower than the headings of the columns with wdiths larger than 100.

Thanks!

Hi Tony,

I have loaded release 4 of 3.5 BETA, and this looks better now. it still gives the same problem once I have a column with a width of less than 60, but for the time being I can live with this.

Thanks!

I seem to have fixed this problem in ie7 and ie8 by changing the following in ui.jqgrid.css:

.ui-jqgrid .ui-th-div-ie{float:left;width:97%;white-space:nowrap;}

to this

.ui-jqgrid .ui-th-div-ie{white-space:nowrap;}

At first I removed the width, and this fixed the vertical alignment and the extra padding, but now the labels in the table headers wouldn't align to anything but left. So I removed the float:left and that seems to have done the trick. Obviously further testing would probably be warranted but I hope this helps.
