3.5 Custom Formatter

I'd like to create some custom formatter functions. With 3.5, now that the download manager creates a single js file, does that mean that we have to add our custom formatter functions directly to the jquery.jqGrid.min.js file? If this is the case, how does one convert the jquery.jqGrid.min.js file to a more readable format?

i saw this in changes from github

2.2 Second change is related to custom formatters. Starting with version 3.5,
the custom formatter is passed the following parameters:
 
formatter : function ( cellvalue, options, rowObject )
{
// format the cellvalue to new format
return new_formated_cellvalue;
}
"
