I just pushed some small changes so jqGrid will support RESTful requests.
See http://www.vaporbase.com/posti.....Tful_Rails
I'd appreciate any feedback.

Hello,
Thanks again for the code, but I see that you have done this only in form editiong. Sorry but we must make this for all editing modules.
Best Regards

doesn't work. So what were those small changes and are there chances for jqgrid to be RESTful?
I'm trying to develop a system based on django + django-piston (as server RESTful API) + jqgrid.
The current way jqgrid guesses postback URLs, say, edit URL, as 0) custom url property of pEdit config of navGrid(); 1) grid editurl property. I think it should guestimate edit URL as (grid-URL + rowId + '/') if none are explicitly given.
Please, comment on.
TIA,

They work fine for me. The changes are in a fork on github http://github.com/linoj/jqGrid
Can you be more specific about what doesnt work?
