Add treenode at any depth

I all,
I'm new on this forum, and I try to use this JQgrid plugin for print a tree, but I can't add a node after a depth of 3.
Moreover, I did not found any parameter to set maximal depth. Is that a limitation that cannot be bypassed ?
any help will be welcome, thx
