Hi

I have a strange problem. I have a page that uses multi-column layout (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Guide/CSS/Using_multi-column_layouts). I am trying to do something like the pinterest style column layout (http://cssdeck.com/labs/css-on.....038;hellip;..038;hellip;..mns-layout). Each item in the column layout is a self contained view (like portlets) which fetches data asynchronously and updates the view. Some of these views uses jqGrid. The views that are in the second column (I have two colums) that uses jqGrid, does not display the data. The DOM nodes for the rows are there, but just doesn't render it in the browser.

The strange thing about this is this happens only when using the laptop's display. Works fine on a big monitor. Also, happens only when using chrome.

I think the problem is that the column layout adjusts the positions of the content inside the container based on the size of the content. So it re-orders how the content is rendered.

Sometimes I see div "ui-jqgrid-bdiv" hanging by itself (ouside the jqgrid container) at the position before the re-ordering.

Don't know if this is a problem with column layout, chrome browser bug or jqgrid.

Please help in debugging/fixing this.

Hello,

If the problem persist only on lapton when using only Chrome I personally think that this is not a jQgrid proble.

It is very difficult to find such kind of problems.

Kind Regards
