jQuery Grid Plugin - jqGrid

I have a table with several columns. On one of the columns I would like it to sort in descending order the first time that the column header is clicked instead of sorting ascending first (and then of course alternating there after). I don't want all the columns to sort in descending order when they are first clicked, just one.

Is there a parameter that allows me to do that? I was looking in the documentation and all I could find was sortorder which fixes the sort order of the default sorted column when the table loads. Thanks in advance for any help!
