Is it possible to use get instead of post when updating to the server after editing ?

I have tried setting:

mtype: 'GET',

but it seems to be still posting updates ?

Is there any way to work around this issue ?

TIA

Sean

Currently you can do this changing the code.

I will review this and will see if this can be updated in the upcomming

bug fix release.

Tony,

Yes, i changed $.post to $.get on ln 129 of grid.inlinedit.js and that did the trick. Iit might be nice if this could be changed to respect mtype.

Thanks for your prompt reply and for sharing your work.

jqGrid, the examples and documentation are first rate.

Cheers

Sean

Tony,

Subsequently realised and needed to change:

type: "POST",

to

type: "GET",

on lines 262 and 583 of grid.formedit.js.

ps. It would be nice to have the ability to set tooltips for the grid column headings....
