In your example "custom buttons and forms" how would you submit and save data once you hit "save" in the form below the table?
You example puts the data from the form into the table, but does not save it onthe server.

These method are designed to interact with "external" forms,
not having the ability to save the data server-side.
It is up to you haw the form values will be sended to the server.
