Why we need FrozenColumn in CellEdit Mode

Tony,

The FrozenColumn function is greate, but the limitation is too much more.

We need FrozenColumn in CellEdit mode, more important than in Group mode, because when jqgrid is used as a "report", the column numbers are not more than 10 in a comon situation. Too many column numbers in a "report" is not a right way even in a frozen mode, because when people use a "report", they need a simple and intuitive report to see the data.

Most likely we use the FrozenColumn in a big table, is when we need to edit data in the table, just like the EXCEL did.

So we need FrozenColumn in CellEdit mode.

yours,

Ivan
