Hello Tony,
I updated some demos to jqGrid 4.3.2 and found the following changes see here. One included setTimeout inside of 'change' event handler. It's a problem in the following simple situation: One opens searching dialog, change the searching field, then enter the searching value and press directly the "Find". It some situaltions the doby of setTimeout inside of 'change' in the line will be called too late. First will be processed the search which use getParameter to get the current filter and then the filter will be updated.
Another thing which I don't understand is: there are another 'change' event handler in the lines. It doesn't use any setTimeout. Either one sould use setTimepou in both places or in no place.
It seems to me that reading of the final values to the filter insied of getParameter would solve all problems. Probably one can call $form.find(".input-elm").triggerHandler('change', [true]) with additional parameter (see [extraParameters]) inside of the getParameter. So one can force imediate refreshing (without setTimeout) of filter object with information from the input controls.
Best regards
Oleg

Hello Oleg,
All these are related to the jQuery Autocomplete, where jQuery UI team changes recently it behaviour.
(I suppose with thier 2.0 release after ... years it will be stable)
Will look at your recommendations.
Tony
