If the table is empty the horrizontal scrollbar is missing. This is especially annoying using the Filter Tool bar.

Example:

If the user uses the right most filter which he needs to scroll into view and then enters a condition, which results in an empty table. Then he can't even scroll to that filter to remove the condition as the scrollbar is missing.

Hello,

This is true and currently we can not provide easy solution.

Regards

For professional UI suites for Java Script and PHP visit us at our commercial products site - guriddo.net - by the very same guys that created jqGrid.

You could try something like :

loadBeforeSend: function() {

                                        var headerWidth = $('#gview_' + this.id + ' .ui-jqgrid-hdiv div:first').width();

                                        $('#gview_' + this.id + ' .ui-jqgrid-bdiv div:first').css({

                                              width: headerWidth,

                                              height: 1

                                        })

}

Edit - oops, just spotted it was an old post.  Hope this helps someone anyway :)
