Hi Tony!

I answerd on one question on StackOverflow (http://stackoverflow.com/quest…..59#3230059). The problem is that during inline editing (saveRow or editRow) only the data in the grid will be saved. The internal data parameter, used for holding of data in case of the local data holding, will be NOT modified. As a workaround I suggested to modify myGrid.getGridParam("data") based on the data read from the jqGrid after saving: myGrid.getRowData(rowid).

If one don't do this, then the grid data will be reseted after and sorting or paging operation and all modification will be disappeared.

If seems to me that modification of the internal data parameter should do jqGrid itself.

Best regards
Oleg

P.S. The problem are also posted under http://www.trirand.com/blog/?p…..er-paging/

Hello Oleg,

Thanks, but it seems that this is not a bug.

Kind Regards

Tony

Thanks Tony,

I am not yet know new 3.7 features of jqGrid good enough.

Nevertheless, it seems to me that the new function refreshIndex should be at lease documented on http://www.trirand.com/jqgridw…..i/doku.php. If would be also nice if the setting of data parameter would be possible with only  one setGridParam operation like for the most all other parameters documented in http://www.trirand.com/jqgridw…..ki:options . One can for example introduce additional jqGrid method (like for setting the capture) and write in the last column "Can be changed?" in the table from http://www.trirand.com/jqgridw…..ki:options the text "No.Method avail." or just like for setting altclass only write in the documentation something like "Yes. Requires index refresh with refreshIndex method".

Probably any changes of documentation are easier as changes of the code.

Best regards
Oleg
