I've wrote lot of times here http://github.com/tonytomov/jq.....1 but I haven't received answers any more.

These are the bugs I have fixed:

- tree expand bug when datatype=local

- parent_id_field bug in getParentNode when loadonce=true and datatype=local

- another small loadonce bug

I'm heavily testing jqGrid over adjacency trees with loadonce=true and datatype=local and custom treeReader (to override isLead and parent_id_field options).
It is possible that you are not able to notice these bugs because you use ajax data load for tree grids in your examples. If you need more details I'll be glad to help you, but PLEASE include this patch...
