There are plans to do these, but not in 3.7 release. Also If you want to work on this I recommend you to use the code from 3.7 beta. We have do some changes in treegrid code.

Has work begun on implementing these two features for the treegrid?  I was wondering because I desperately need these features.  I'll either have to use some other control until it's available or try to implement it myself (which I honestly don't mind).  I've really liked jqGrid -- though I didn't realize until now that you couldn't add & delete from tree grids.  I just don't want to spend the next couple of weeks -- or however long it will take me -- to dive into the code and implement it myself only to find out that you're already working on it.  Assuming I can do it I would gladly give it back to you to integrate with jqGrid if you so choose.  Please post something here if possible.  Thanks.
