As for the css file and lang files it is a good idea.

Currently we use Google Compiler which can not minify CSS files.

After the compiler the language files are bigger than the original since the compiler put hexadecimal chras.

One poosible solution is to mix the compilation with YUI compressor.

starting with jqGrid 4.2.0 the file jquery.jqGrid.min.js contains the comment with the license agreement twice: one time the comment blocks contains additional line

If would be nice to change the build process to remove unneeded second comment block.

One more small improvemen could be providing minimized versions of ui.jqgrid.css and i18n\grid.locale-XX.js files in css and js\i18n directories. The src directory will hold the original unminimized version of the same files.
