I have the same issue here. How do you know that it is 4.0, because it doesn't say so in the ui.jqgrid.css file

It show the column width of the first row is set to 108px, but in the in the layout tab it shows the width is actually 106.7px for the column

I think that something is wrong in your data - i.e there is a problem between colModel definition and your response or CSS problem.
