Hello,

Cross domail ajax requests are not allowed by defign.

Please read this - there is a lot of documentation.

Insead you can use this using jsonp datatype - read jQuery and jqGrid docs. jqGrid support this type.

Regards

What is the correct syntax for using the url property for a remote server?

This (from my first grid example) works fine of me url:'example.php',

but what if my database is on a different server?

I have tried varients of url:'http//myserver/example.php", url: 'myserver.com/example.php'

and they dont seem to work.

When I moved my html file, along with the jqgrid directory over to the same server as example.php then everything just worked.

Thanks
