Hi!

We have spent days now trying to implement the grid in our ASP.NET Webforms application. We get the following error:

$("#testGrid").jqGrid is not a function

I have searched around the web a lot and the same response seems to come back over and over for this error. You need to make sure you have included the JS file correctly.

I think we've tried pretty much everything by now. And yes the JS file is loaded as far as I can see (using firebug and inspecting, is there another way?).

I have followed endless tutorials and even the Wiki page available here, still the same thing.

Currently the JS includes looks like this:

    <script src="js/jquery-1.4.2.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    <script src="js/i18n/grid.locale-en.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    <script src="js/jquery.jqGrid.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

Any pointers would be appreciated.

EDIT:

I still believe the error has something to do with the JS files, no matter which of the 10 odd implementations we've tried it's always the same error. That leads me to believe that it has nothing to do with the code itself but still is something with the includes.

EDIT2:

We have now also included UI js file and still the same thing.

<script src="js/jquery-ui-1.8.5.custom.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
