Hi Tony,

Lets consider the example Form improvements (version 3.5 beta demos).

Suppose the “ship via” field has a huge amount of options. Suppose all shipping options are stored in a table named shipping_company:

I would like to code a search dialog in order to search by “company_name” in the “shipping_company” table and then return the corresponding ship code to fill Invoice.ship_via field.

Is there a way of doing table lookup?

Example:

inv_header(id,inv_date,...,client_id,...)

clients (client_id,name).

Is it possible to search for the client name and then update client_id in the inv_header table?
