Two questions:

1) If you are setting up jqGrid in MVC, can you supplement that setup in Javascript? Or do you have to choose MVC configuration or jQuery configuation? Is it either / or? Or can you mix and match?

2) If I can't mix and match, where can I find the defaultValue searchoption in jqGrid for ASP.NET MVC?

Thanks much.
