We do not do something special. We just get the value with val() function and post it to the server via ajax.

Also IMHO I think that this is a browser problem. Is this in IE? Try with FF or vice versa.

I have a problem with editdialog.  There is an ediable column in it, the column's colModel is as below:

{name:'Script', index:'Script',edittype:'textarea',editrules:{edithidden:true},editoptions:{style:"width:250px;height:100px;"},formoptions:{label:'script', rowpos:2, colpos:1}, align:'center',hidden:true,editable:true,classes:"JqGrid"},

I show a textarea correctly, and I can edit it in the editdialog. But problem is  when I save the data to server, the Carriage returns（/r/n）was never be saved into the server. At the server side, I do nothing to remove /r/n, I just use Request[Script] to get it's value.

I don't know why.
