Hello,

Â

I'm not sure that this is practical. When you search on different table then they will have different column names whch will cause that data not to be filed.

Just to note that you can use the jqFilter on a diffrent form (not modal only) and in this different form you can add your tables, but you will need to write additional logic to post the table name when search.

Â

Kind Regards

Hello, I would like to support an ability for the user to define his own queries on the fly.

Â

It should look something like what's on the demos "Searching" > "Show query is search" -

there you have a jqgrid with results and you can filter the results using an sql created by the form. What I want is a form that will allow you to choose a table name "e.g.: Books" and then allow you to filter in a similiar way as the form on chosen table: "Books" and once done - the jqgrid will only then be created to represent your query.

here is a visual explaination:

Â

This way the user may define his own queries and view them on the fly.

Hope you understand me.

Â

The question is:

a. Is there such an ability already?

b. If not, how can I reuse the filter ability that exists today to acheive my desired ability?

Â

Thank you
