Por sea el caso por si le sirva a alguien.  Solo me faltaba agregar la siguiente línea al inicio de mi archivo HTML

No sabría decir porqué.  ¿alguien tiene idea?

He copiado tus archivos que haz enviado y tu código de carga de los archivos y sigue el mismo problema.  me muestra la siguiente pantalla:

Por favor fíjate que la letra de los datos del propio grid también salen grande.

La version Jqgrid.min es la que compila y que junta todos los src en un solo archivo..

I was hoping to display the grid as it is in the examples without having to modify the css.

I have seen the source code the:

I do not see anywhere that amending the css to change the font size.

How do I get the same result without changing the css?

I'm using the same example and css files does not work.

You can select each element and find out the name of the style and where it's located.

Some of the values are inherited from the jquery ui css file but others are set in the ui.jqgrid.css file.

The headers for the grid are in this selector, which is located in the ui.jqgrid.css file:

.ui-jqgrid .ui-jqgrid-htable th div

You can change the value of the font size there, but you are probably better off overriding the style in your own css file.
