Hi Dany,

the postData parameter is exactly what you need. By the way in many scenarios you can need to send the data to the server which are dynamical (not the same as the the jqGrid initialization time). In the case it could very usefull to define some of postData properites as a functions. See here for more explanation.

Best regards
Oleg

Hi everyone,

I am fairly new to jQuery, and very new to the grid plugin. My first use of this fantastic plugin involves needing extra parameters when fetching data. It is part of an ASP.NET MVC app and I need to pass two variables to the controller action. Currently my method has the usual signature of (string sidx, string sord, int page, int rows). How can I pass a couple more parameters?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

D.
