I managed to fixed this.

The pager div was collapsing because I am using jspx.

If you use jspx and you have an empty tag like this

you must fill the empty div tag with <jsp:text/> to prevent it from collapsing to <div id="pager"/>.

I have created a spring mvc application using Tomcat 7 by reading pro spring 3 book, but the pager is not apperaring.

Any ideas?
