Hello,

Before you use FormToGrid you can generate your custom id's which you can store in array. Then you can save the data from the form to grid and since you already have these ids you can use getRowData method to obtain the data from the grid and post it to server.

Regards

I'd like to grab data from a custom form (that I believe has field names that match grid columns) and post the contents as a new record to the grid (and to the backend server).

FormToGrid insists on a rowid (which does not exist in this case). Is there a way to make this happen?

If you can explain, please elaborate as I know next to nothing about jquery, ajax, ...

thanks!
