Not sure if this is jqGrid or how I am using it. I have a master page with both a nav div (with a jqGrid tree) and a main content div which I load based on what I need. I have a search form with jqGrid which works fine in the main content div when I load it directly. I have a second scenario where I load renderpartial with tabs and in one of the tabs I render a partialview with a jqGrid in it. At that second level (renderpartial w/ renderpartial and jqGrid, the grid won't load).

If I try to load the search form that works in in the div only, no problem. As luck would have it I'm in the early stages and on the search form I have two other grids loading locally with demo data. If I put that search form in the nested renderpartial, the main json rendered search grid does not render (doesn't make it to the controller) but the locally rendered grids do create just fine?

Is there a known issue regarding MVC .NET nested renderpartials and Ajax I can't find documentation on or is there possibly an issue with jqGrid and nested renderpartials?
