This is true. The formatting on group with named item as in your case {total} is not possible at  the moment.

You can control only the number of decimal places and rounding behaviour.

I am trying to format the totals in the group and subgroup level but it is not working.  If I try to call a JS function to do the formatting, it just outputs the JS function name along with the total, however, the function is not evaluated.  Is there a way to format the total?

 

groupText: ['', '{0}<div style="font-weight:bold; display:inline; float:right; margin-right:10px;">{total}</div>'] 

 

The div and CSS gets picked up, but, if I try to format the {total} using a JS function it doesn't work.  How to best pull this off?
