I would use more than 1 search feature at the same time?

E.g. I would like the show the FilterToolbar for the user to make a quick and dirty search, but on the other hand I would also like for them to be able to use the advanced search feature for their complex searches.

Furthermore I have some special search capabilities that does not relate to a specific column, which is more in line with the custom search model.

How do I mix all of them up and keep them consistent?
