I did change the pathtojsfiles in the jquery.jqGrid.js but I think it is not a "good" practice.
As a sugesstion, it would be a good idea to create an external setting for this variable...

I am new using jqGrid and I am getting the above error. My scripts are in a subdirectory called "js" so I wrote in my jsp page:

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen" href="../jsjs/themes/jqModal.css" />

<script type="text/javascript" src="../js/chrome.js"></script>

<script type="text/javascript" src="../js/jquery.jqGrid.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="../js/js/jquery.jqModal.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="../js/js/jquery.jqDnR.js"></script>

Looking for this error in the forum I found two posts about it but none of them solve my problem.
Is there an easy way to solve this ?
