OK I have identified the issue - MySQL does not like numeric column names. Apparently back ticks (e.g. `1234`) will work but renaming the columns with alphanumeric names seems the best solution for use with jqGrid.

Hi, Aplogies if this has been answered but I can't find it. When submitting a record for update I get this message in Fiddler:

Uncaught exception 'PDOException' with message 'SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '4483 = 'N', epirb = 'N', liferaft = 'N', gpsspot = 'N', sailindon = 'N' WHERE id' at line 1' in C:\wamp\www\sailtimorleste\jqgrid\php\jqGridPdo.php:62

It appears that the automatically generated SQL statement has been truncated? Is there a limit on the length/number of field names? If so, is it configurable?

Thanks, Chris
