Yes this is normal. The grid need to update the entire value of the search and not every typed letter.

When I click the search button I am showing the query, oddly when I enter a value to search for and click Find button the Query doesn't show the value that I've entered, it'll still show for example: Company="", but when I focus the mouse in the text field (I click in the text field) the query is updated with the value !! for example: Company="Microsoft company" ! Any one had this issue before? I am using jQuery UI - v1.10.4 and jquery-1.11 and jqGrid 4.6.0. Thank you very much !
