Thuis is not a bug. You will need just to read the docs and use the appropriate event.

Hint maybe you canb use beforeSelectRow

I used jqgrid in each row i have a custom icon . Now onclick of that icon, the row is getting selected/unselected. I do not want this to happen. On clicking of that icon, I do not want the row tobe selected/unselected.
