I have checked, and really I have a comma after the last position in colModel, when I removed it, the problem with IE disapeared but still, don't show column with attr. hidden:true, when clicking on link showCol (only on Opera everything is ok) I have no idea what is wrong

Paul,

You have a problem in colModel definition. Check to see if your last column

ends with , also check again the colModel and colNames definituins

Hmm, everything is ok, look,
- Everything is ok when I have only two buttons (showCol and hideCol) and column initially shown (without hidden:true attr in colModel)

- If I add hidden:true attr. in colModel, button with showCol doesn't work.
And for more fun, I have checked that on 3 browsers. The problem above is on FF 3.0, on IE 6.0 grid even don't load any of data, but show alert (Length of colNames <> colModel or 0!
Only on Opera that code works fine. What browser do you use?

Yes I know that, I wrote about hideCol only to tell you that this two buttons works fine, but when some column have hidden:true attribute and click on links with showCol, then this doesn't work (column is still hidden).

Pako hideCol hides the column. In your case you try to heide allready

hidden column. Instead use

( jQuery(”#hd”).click( function() { jQuery(”#list”).showCol(”date”); });

Hi Tony, I have a problem, I use the newest 3.2 version, and I have one column in colModel with hidden:true attribute (to hide that column on load) and I have a link to show that column
( jQuery(”#hd”).click( function() { jQuery(”#list”).hideCol(”date”); }); where hd is id of that link)…so, this doesn't work.

When i delete attibute hidden:true and add next link with “hideCol” everything works fine, but I want that column should be hidden on start. Do you have any idea how to do that?
