        	        	<description><![CDATA[<p>Thank you that&#39;s exactly what I was after.&#160; I haven&#39;t been using jquery or jqgrid for very long. But between the 2 it&#39;s saved me so much time and headache over doing all the javascript myself. Soon as I&#39;m done with the project I&#39;m working on I&#39;ve got a few ideas for plugins that people might be interested in.</p>

        	        	<description><![CDATA[<p>I have a dataset that is too wide for the screen. I can get the horizontal scroll bars if I manually resize the columns after page has loaded. But if I set the column widths in my grid definition All it does adjust the widths of all the columns to match the width of the grid. How do I force the width of the columns to be wider than the grid in my grid definition so I can get a horizontal scroll bar?</p>
