<p>My grid is shrinktofit = true (by default). and I don&#39;t set the width of the grid, so it&#39;s decided by the total column width.</p>
</p>
<p>I use:</p>
<p>&#160;jQuery("#list3").jqGrid(&#39;hideCol&#39;,["testcolumn"]);</p>
<p>Yes, the column is hidden, but the width of the grid is no changed, and left a blank there......</p>
<p>I see the wiki, it says so.</p>
</p>
<p>But why? After the column is hidden, the left blank is not good looking.</p>
