Not sure if this is a good solution, but you can try with import export methods of the grid.

example: I'm at the 2nd page of my grid and click a link in the grid to drill down to detail data.  Then I  want to go back the grid in the state I left it.  ie. on the 2nd page of the grid, but it goes back to the initial grid state.

Another option would be to open a new window to do the drill down into the data and then closing the window.  But, I can't find how to do that in the documentation.
